For an accurate body measurement please follow these instructions to allow the best fit for your Southern Belle Dress. We need BUST, RIBCAGE, WAIST, WAIST TO FLOOR
1. Wrap a soft tape measure around your bust. (Pink Ribbon in photo) Take it around your back, across your shoulder blades and under your arms. It should wrap around the fullest part of your bust. The tape should be straight and parallel with the floor.
Bring the ends together in the center front and keep snug but not too tight. Record the measurement in inches.
2. Place the tape measure around your chest/ribcage (Red Ribbon in photo) Wrap it so that it rests just under your bust, where your bra band would sit. Record the measurement in inches.
3. Identify your waist. (Blue Ribbon in photo) While standing straight, bend over to the front or side and make a note of where your body creases. This is your natural waist. It's the narrowest part of your torso, generally located between your rib cage and belly button. Wrap the tape measure around your natural waist (usually at belly button). Keep it parallel to the floor. Do not hold your breath or suck your stomach in. Hold your body erect in a comfortable standing position to get an accurate measurement. It should be snug like you would want a dress to fit, but not too tight so you can't breathe. Record in inches.
4.Waist to floor. Have a friend help you with this one. Measure from your natural waistline to the floor in inches and record.
